Nooks Makes It Two of every a Row on Friday Night in Baltimore; Jim Neese Grabs Arenacross Lites Class Victory
BALTIMORE, Md. (January 15, 2010) – The second round of the AMA Arenacross Series commenced in fine design on Friday night from Baltimore’s first Mariner Arena. An excited group was close by to witness Babbitt’s Monster Energy/Ti Lube Kawasaki’s Tyler Bowers, of Danville, Ky., take his second in a row win. First Insurance Yamaha’s Jim Neese, of Julian, N.C., dashed to a merited AMA Arenacross Lites class triumph.
As the head AMA Arenacross class impacted out of the entryways for its Friday night headliner, Spinechillers/Storm Lake Honda’s Nathan Skaggs, of Chillicothe, Ohio, Babbitt’s Monster Energy/Ti Lube Kawasaki’s Josh Demuth, of North Richland Hills, Texas, Tuf Honda’s Brock Sellards, of Sherodsville, Ohio, and Jackson Performance KTM’s Kelly Smith, of Ludington, Mich., drove the field. Arbors was compelled to beat a terrible begin, yet rapidly frantic his way to the front of the pack. Smith experienced bicycle issues right on time in the fundamental, and was compelled to drop out while running third. As Bowers made the proceed onward Skaggs, who won his warmth race before at night, Demuth and Sellards were occupied with a stellar fight for third. In the last corner, the pair met up with Demuth turning out on the better end while Sellards dropped back to ninth. Skaggs took after Bowers over the line while Demuth hung on for third.
Neese profited by his veteran experience to take control of the AMA Arenacross Lites class and at last, held off his hard charging partner Tyler Bright, of Lexington, N.C., and Factory Pech Racing Kawasaki’s Devon Pilkington, of Virginia Beach, Va., in third.
