RESULTS | AMA ARENACROSS SERIES

TULSA, Okla. – The 2011 AMA Arenacross Series began off with its trademark capriciousness when TUF Honda’s Jeff Gibson, of Blacklick, Ohio, caught his first win since the 2009 season inside Tulsa’s BOK Center. Oklahoma local Cory Green, from Nowata, caught the opening round of the Arenacross Lites Western Regional title on board his Xtreme Cycle and ATV Suzuki.

With huge consideration encompassing the authoritative champion Babbitt’s Monster Energy/TiLube Kawasaki displayed by Maxxis group, Gibson, the 2009 Arenacross class champion, quieted the pundits by snatching the early favorable position in the title. After a solid begin, Gibson worked his way into the lead and held off solid difficulties from the previously mentioned Babbitt’s group and its riders Tyler Bowers, of Danville, Ky., and Chad Johnson, of Rhinelander, Wis., who balanced the platform.

Green took his risks at a decisive victory of the two classes with expectations of conveying the place where he grew up group to its feet, yet the accomplished rider made due with a noteworthy trip in the Arenacross Lites headliner. Following Green over the line was kindred Oklahoman Chad Cook, from Oklahoma City, on board his House of Kawasaki machine and FHK Honda’s Kyle White, of Freeport, Ill.

In the continually energizing Dash For Cash, Foremost Insurance/Spinechillers/Honda Fairfield Racing’s Nathan Skaggs, of Chillicothe, Ohio, caught the win.

The AMA Arenacross Series proceeds one weekend from now from Kansas City, Mo., and the unbelievable Kemper Arena next Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET.
